It is archaic that people are forced to take time off work, required to show up at an arbitrarily assigned place on an assigned day and be forced to wait in line for hours to cast a dead-tree record that will be fed into a Milton Bradly-esque machine that may or may not be working.
This can bring huge parts of the missing 50% of voters back to the democratic process.
