 Registering to Vote in Utah

 

In Utah there are many ways to register to vote. You can submit register online, by mail, or in person.  Military and overseas voters use these resources to register.

Qualifications

  • Be a Utah resident
  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Can’t be registered to vote in a different state
  • Can’t be deemed mentally incompetent by a judge or court of law
  • Felons must have their voting rights restored
  • Be at least 18 years old

Where and How to Register

You can register to vote either online or by visiting a county clerks office.  Or if you want to vote absentee or by mail, do so following these instructions.

Online registrations must be submitted at least 7 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election. If your form is sent by mail, it must be postmarked at least 30 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.
