Registering to Vote in Oklahoma

Once you have been approved to vote, you will receive a voter identification card in the mail.


To be eligible to vote in Oklahoma, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be an Oklahoma resident
  • Be a US citizen
  • Not be a convicted felon within the time period equal to the original judgment and sentence, even if you are no longer incarcerated
  • Have not been legally determined to be incapacitated
  • Have not been legally determined to be partially incapacitated with a prohibition on voting

Where and How to Register

In Oklahoma, you can register to vote by mail or in person.  To register by mail, you need to fill out an Oklahoma Voter Registration Application. After you complete the form, and sign and date the oath, you must mail your application to the Oklahoma State Election Board at the following address:

To complete the application in person, visit your local tag agent’s office.

Remember that whether you register in person or by mail, you’ll need the following information:

  • Name and address
  • Political affiliation
  • Birth date
  • Driver’s license number OR last four digits of your Social Security number
