To be eligible to vote in New Hampshire, you must:

  • Be a US citizen
  • Be a resident of the state of New Hampshire
  • Be at least 18 years old by Election Day

Where and How to Register

In New Hampshire, you must register to vote in person. You can do so at the following three locations:

  • At the city or town clerk’s office
  • At your community’s Supervisor’s of the Checklist, who meet 10 days before each election on a Saturday – you can contact your local clerk for meeting details
  • At your polling place on Election Day

When you register, you will need to provide documents as proof of:

  • Residency
  • Identity
  • Age
